看來Peter Sunde〈TPB的發言人〉對外宣稱的”Epic Win” 實在是話說得太早了。今天TPB的侵權官司結果公佈：有罪！〈前情提要：世界最大BT檔案分享網站 – The Pirate Bay侵權官司觀後感〉

TPB的四位被告：Frederik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, Carl Lundstrom 與Peter Sunde，分別被判了一年徒刑，以及總共四百五十萬美金的罰金。

Peter Sunde對此顯然十分不能接受。在一場線上記者會中，他不斷的用bizzare這個字來形容整個官司：〈可連BBC新聞，裡面有詳盡報導，以下英文片段即摘自BBC〉

“It’s so bizarre that we were convicted at all and it’s even more bizarre that we were [convicted] as a team. The court said we were organised. I can’t get Gottfrid out of bed in the morning. If you’re going to convict us, convict us of disorganised crime.

“We can’t pay and we wouldn’t pay. Even if I had the money I would rather burn everything I owned, and I wouldn’t even give them the ashes.”

Peter Sunde除了不同意判決，他也不打算付這筆罰金。即使有錢，他寧願把錢燒成灰，甚至連灰也不想給。不過其實這筆費用比當初檢察官希望的一千七百五十萬美金有好一段差距。〈雖然一樣都是付不出來的天價…〉

IFPI的John Kennedy則是很高興的講了以下這段話：

“These guys weren’t making a principled stand, they were out to line their own pockets. There was nothing meritorious about their behaviour, it was reprehensible.

“The Pirate Bay did immense harm and the damages awarded doesn’t even get close to compensation, but we never claimed it did.

“There has been a perception that piracy is OK and that the music industry should just have to accept it. This verdict will change that.”

他認為這是惡有惡報，雖然這筆罰款跟唱片業所受到的衝擊不能相比。他也覺得，許多人認為盜版行為是OK的、唱片業應該學著接受…，這次判決將會改變這些人的認知。

這場判決結果已經在國外引起正反兩方的再度辯論。有興趣的人可以看看Google News上的新聞串。不過到目前為止，TPB還連得上，似乎還不打算關站呢。
