戒嚴時代，台灣也多的是因為被列入黑名單而無法回國的海外學子。有骨氣堅持回國的，可能就像陳文成那樣下場...</description>

When Tiananmen Square massacre happened, these Chinese were quiet at first.

Very soon, a lot of them spoke out on TVs, at newspapers, etc.   I was told that they could get political asylum in USA if they could prove that they would be persecuted in China.  Of course, I hoped this was not the only reason for them to do that.

Later on, US Congress passed the law allowing ALL Chinese students to get green cards.

Recently, my contact with some Chinese tells me that they are pretty happy about the current situation of China.  They don&#039;t really care about freedom, especially US-style freedom, in China.  However, my personal contact is pretty limited.

History can be easily distorted when time passes by,  my distortion included, of course.</description>
